Ultrasound imaging or sonography is an examination that uses high frequency sound waves to obtain images of the body.  No ionizing radiation is involved.  This imaging technique is important in the diagnosis of medical conditions in many different organs. 

Saint Barnabas Medical Center offers the following Ultrasound exams:

  • Abdomen, Renal, Pelvis, Thyroid, Scrotal and Breast as well as other organs

  • OB/GYN

  • Biopsy

  • Transcranial Doppler for Sickle Cell Screening
