or Interventional Radiography is a growing subspecialty in which both
vascular and nonvascular diseases are
diagnosed and treated. It is a minimally invasive technique that
utilizing small catheters and catheter-based instruments. These procedures are
performed with local or intravenous
sedation and are guided by radiological imaging such as flouroscopy,
CT or ultrasound.
