It is generally agreed that the information
x-rays provide greatly outweigh the small risks
associated with the use of radiation.
Most x-rays require no preparation prior to
the exam.
Special studies such as the Barium Studies or
Contrast Studies may require specific preparations. Your
physician will provide you with any instructions
concerning these examinations.
