improved model for cardiac care. The Saint Barnabas
Heart Centers, located across New Jersey, have integrated
diagnostic, medical and surgical services into one
comprehensive program that offers a full range of
advanced cardiac services for adults and children – diagnosis,

diagnosis and treatment of heart rhythm disturbances

The Saint Barnabas Heart Center at Newark Beth Israel Medical Center,
chosen among the nation’s 100 top performing hospitals for outstanding
outcomes in adult cardiac care by Solucient, offers
the ultimate treatment for heart disease– transplantation. Newark
Beth Israel is home to New Jersey’s
most experienced, highest volume heart failure treatment
and transplant program and the nation’s seventh largest heart
transplant program by volume in 2005. Outcomes for
heart transplantation match or exceed national standards,
and our patients spend less time waiting for a heart
transplant than most candidates across the country.
People across the state have direct access to the appropriate level
of cardiac care through Heart Centers located at
all of our acute care hospitals. When necessary,
our Cardiac Transfer Center provides efficient,
expeditious transfers of patients in need of routine
or specialized services from throughout the area.
