Fred Sardari, MD, was Associate Staff Surgeon at the Cleveland
Clinic Foundation Department of Thoracic and Cardiovascular
Surgery in Ohio prior to joining the Saint Barnabas Heart
Centers. He received his medical degree from George Washington
University School of Medicine, Washington, DC, completed
his residency in general surgery at Albert Einstein College
of Medicine, Long Island Jewish Medical Center in New Hyde
Park, New York, and his residency in cardiothoracic surgery
in the Department of Surgery at Loma Linda University Medical
Center, Loma Linda, California. Dr. Sardari is board certified
in general surgery and thoracic surgery.
Dr. Sardari is co-author of numerous articles published
in professional publications such as the Annals of Thoracic
Surgery, the Journal of Cardiac Surgery, the Journal
of Heart Disease, and American Surgeon. He
has lectured abroad and demonstrated new surgical techniques.
Dr. Sardari’s primary interests are off-pump or beating
heart bypass, as well as valvular surgery and diseases of
the aorta (aneurysms and dissection).
