Mario A. Criscito, MD, Director of Critical Care at Clara Maass Medical Center, received his medical degree from the University of Padova Medical School, Italy. He completed his residency in internal medicine and a cardiology fellowship at Saint Barnabas Medical Center. Board certified in internal medicine and cardiology, Dr. Criscito has special interest in non-invasive cardiac testing and clinical cardiology.
Dr. Criscito has a long record of serving the public in matters of medicine. He was appointed by the governor as a member of the State Board of Medical Examiners and has served as President of the New Jersey Cardiology Network. He currently serves as a member of the Congressional Medicare Advisory Panel and is Chairman of the Saint Barnabas Physician Partnership and Chairman of Multiple Employee Welfare Association, a physician health plan. Dr. Criscito is a member of the Council on Geriatric Cardiology and has published several articles in the field of cardiology.
