Rose, of Maplewood, NJ, doesn’t
worry about her heart anymore. Ever since she turned
her cardiac care over to the experts at the Saint
Barnabas Heart Centers, her heart is beating strong
and steady.
“Another doctor told me I was too old for
heart surgery and I should go home and enjoy what
time I had left,” she recalls. Instead, Rose
got another opinion. Cardiologists and cardiac
surgeons at the Saint Barnabas Heart Centers treated
the 71-year-old-woman’s complex heart problems
in the knick of time. They replaced and repaired
three heart valves which were causing severe muscle
damage that would soon have been irreversible.
“They did such a marvelous job, I feel as
if I never had a heart problem.” says Rose. “I
have much more living to do.”
