Dr. Adam PerlmanDr. Adam Perlman received his undergraduate degree from Tufts University and Medical Degree from Boston University School of Medicine. He then completed residencies in both Internal Medicine and Preventive Medicine at Boston Medical Center. While completing a General Medicine Research Fellowship, he received a Masters of Public Health from the Boston University School of Public Health with a concentration in biostatistics and epidemiology.

In 1998, Dr. Perlman became Director of Integrative Medicine for the Saint Barnabas Health Care System and Medical Director for the Carol and Morton Siegler Center for Integrative Medicine, in Livingston, New Jersey. In that role, he had primary responsibility for developing and overseeing the Integrative Medicine (Complementary & Alternative Medicine) Program for the Saint Barnabas Health Care System, including both the Integrative Medicine Center and the Center for Health and Wellness.

He maintains his medical directorship and clinical practice in Integrative Medicine at Saint Barnabas, and received the "Excellence in Caring Award" in 2000.

His scholarly activities include numerous grants, publications and presentations. He was the guest editor of the Complementary and Alternative Medicine volume of Medical Clinics of North America as well as Associate Editor for the Complementary and Alternative Medicine section of the Physician information and Education Resource (PIER) developed by the American College of Physicians and American Society for Internal Medicine.

Increasingly recognized for his expertise, Dr. Perlman has dedicated his career to lecturing, researching and writing about various aspects of Complementary and Alternative Medicine as well as health and wellness.
