1999: Monmouth Medical Center is first hospital in Monmouth and Ocean counties to offer stereotactic radiosurgery, a highly precise, incisionless alternative to brain surgery.

2002: Newark Beth Israel Medical Center is New Jersey’s first facility to offer MammoSite brachytherapy for breast cancer.

2005: Clara Maass Medical Center is first hospital in northern NJ to offer an innovative radio immunotherapy treatment, Bexxar, to patients with non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma.

2005: The Cancer Centers of Saint Barnabas at Saint Barnabas Medical Center become the first in NJ to offer TomoTherapy, a revolutionary radiation treatment for cancer patients.

2006: Saint Barnabas System Cancer Centers continue to treat 37,000 cancer patients each year.

2006: Monmouth, Newark Beth Israel and Saint Barnabas Medical Centers continue their tradition of offering our young patients the highest quality services at our three Valerie Fund Children’s Centers for Cancer and Blood Disorders.
