Urological Disorders - UPJ Obstruction and Pyelopasty

UPJ obstruction is a congenital narrowing of the ureter. Using minimally invasive robotic methods, surgeons are able to perform the reconstructive surgery with very high precision through four incisions that are only a half-inch or less. Operative times with the robot, as compared to traditional open pyeloplasty, have not decreased; but the hospital stay is decreased from three days to one.
