1999-2000: Pediatric nurse practitioner at Texas Children’s Hospital of Texas Children’s Cancer Center, Houston.

1994-1998: Clinical nurse specialist/pediatric nurse practitioner for oncology and coordinator for the hematology/oncology clinic at St. Christopher’s Hospital for Children, Philadelphia.

1993-2004: Held various faculty appointments in the nursing and pediatric programs at the University of Pennsylvania and Baylor College of Medicine, Houston.

Education

• Bachelor of science degree in nursing from Gwynedd Mercy College, Gwynedd Valley, Pa.
• Master of Science degree in nursing from Widener University, Chester, Pa.
• Advanced degree as a pediatric nurse practitioner from The Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia.
