What We Offer

  • A caring team of pediatric medical professionals is dedicated to providing nurturing care to children facing an array of medical challenges. Our expert pediatric hematologists/oncologists, specially trained advanced practice pediatric hematology/oncology nurses, nurse clinicians, registered nurses, social workers and child life/play therapists work together to provide the latest advances and most compassionate medical care in a soothing environment.
  • The Centers, part of the largest consortium of centers treating children with blood disorders and cancers in the U.S., provide services including on-site laboratory and imaging services to ensure comfort and minimize travel time. Patients have access to inpatient services at all three hospital sites including Pediatric Intensive Care units, pediatric general surgery, pediatric urology, ENT, Radiology, Radiation therapy, etc.
  • The psychosocial needs of children and families are vitally important in the overall treatment, and we offer child life therapy, social service counseling and monthly support groups for pediatric oncology and sickle cell patients to meet these needs.
  • As a member in the Saint Barnabas Health Care System, we have state and federally funded pediatric and adult regional hemophilia and thrombophilia programs as well as comprehensive Sickle Cell and Thalassemia services. This gives us the unique opportunity to transition our adolescent hematology and sickle cell patients to adult services when necessary.
