HEART SAVER CPR

Heart Saver CPR is a 6-hour course designed for the person whose company does not have an Automated External Defibrillator (AED). The participant will learn Adult, Child and Infant one rescuer CPR and Foreign body management (FBAO). Private, on-site courses can be arranged for groups of four or more.

FEE: $50 Non SBHCS Employee
  $40 SBHCS Employee

This is a modular program designed to teach CPR and relief of Foreign Body Airway Obstruction (FBAO) for adults, children & infants. This course includes instruction on barrier devices and the causes and prevention of injuries, and cardiopulmonary arrest in infants and children. 

The intended audience is the lay rescuer whose job requires a credential documenting successful completion of a written evaluation and successful skill performance.

The course is (6-8) hours in duration:   Adults (3-4 hrs.) & Infant/Child:

Practice:  Manikins 

Testing:    Skills only

Card issued: Course completion card will be issued within 6 weeks of the class, but the instructor will provide a course completion letter at the end of the class.  This letter is to serve as temporary proof of certification for Heart saver CPR course. 

Course Cancellation: If a course has insufficient registrations, we may need to cancel the course.  If this is to occur, you will be notified by telephone 1-2 days before the scheduled date of the course. 

Due to classroom space, some courses are limited to 10-15 registrants and fill up rather quickly.  We highly recommend that you complete and return the registrations form as soon as possible.   

Cancellation Policy: Cancellations made by the registrants must be submitted in writing along with the return of textbook (clean/usable condition) s.  Textbooks that are not returned the fees will be subtracting from the refund.  In order to receive a full refund notification must be received five days before the scheduled course.  Cancellation received less than five (5) business days before scheduled course are subject to a $10.00 cancellation fee.  

Reschedule Policy: Rescheduling a course less than five (5), business days prior to the course are subject to a $10.00 administrative fee.  

The Community Training Center adheres to all requirements of the American Heart Associations regarding course testing and completion.

The American Heart Association strongly promotes knowledge and proficiency in BLS, ACLS, and PALS and has developed instructional materials for this purpose. Use of these materials in educational course does not represent course sponsorship by the American Heart Association. Any fees charged for such a course, except for a portion of fees needed for AHA course material, do not represent income to the Association.
